So what is the story behind the Urban Guru logo the MitsuLogo?
It all started with a look into the symbols that meant a lot to us personally. We are huge on symbolism, and were immediately attracted to the ancient Japanese symbol the Mitsudomoe.

Some say that the mitsudomoe represents the unity between man, earth and the heavens. It is also said to be associated with the Shinto deity Hachiman, the ultimate divine protector and god of war. It was adopted as the symbol of the Japanese samurai. We live in an urban jungle so we thought it an appropriate fit. The way of the samurai is the pathway of honour, something we aspire to include in every aspect of ourselves, our way of everyday life, and also of this business.

The comma's in the heart of each of the tomoe are representative of what the comma is used for in common punctuation today - a pause to take a breath.

Together these symbols combine to accurately reflect the principles we stand for - a thoughful, balanced and unified warrior - an Urban Guru. One who is at peace with the world around him, and one who is prepared to stand up for what they believe in.
